The 2014 Encinitas Mile race was a huge success. Congrats to organizers Daniel Seidel and Mark Sarno for putting on a well organized race. The race course was an out-and-back along Vulcan Road starting and finishing just south of E Street and the turnaround point was at the intersection of Santa Fe Road and Vulcan. There were several different heats, male and female open, masters, kids, elites and even a run with your dog division. The overall men’s winner was former local peep Sergio Gonzalez, proving that training high and racing low is a great combo, even his beard was fast! The overall female winner was local runner Natasha LaBeaud Anzures.
